I was talking to my mom, about my children (one in particular) and as I cried to her....she reminded me of a verse in the Bible, that says....train up a child in the way he shall go, and when he is old, he won't depart from it. (TOTALLY paraphrasing), but I believe with all of my heart that the Christ who loves me, is protecting my children as well.  A couple months back, I did a layout for my oldest son, Jacob and his girlfriend Savanah....and it kindof fits in a funny way here.

This is my precious girl, Jennifer....I am absolutely amazed at how incredibly beautiful she is, beautiful inside and out.  Kind. Gentle. Smart.  Oh my.  I love her so much.

This is a page I did a while back of my son's girlfriend, Savanah.  I loved how it turned out.

Me....at 47

Me at 47 .  I usually am the one taking the pictures...I was challenged to do a picture of me, (instead of the kids, dogs....) and I also wanted to use stuff I already had.  There are so many great new things coming out for this delightful hobby, and I tend to be more of a collector than doer...Tomorrow, I will try to take better pictures of these... :)

The journaling is hidden under the picture, and while most of it is private, some of it says, "Age is just a number.  But the last two years have been really har on me.  It has reflected on my face with fine wrinkles around my eyes, and deep wrinkles on my forehead...."

Happy Sunday!

Rose

The journaling on this page says..."Beautiful Rose.  Momma of my beloved Jeffery.  Sweet. Gentle. Destroyer of carpet, car interior, and leashes (because, you know, those things are SCARE-Y!!).  Jacob's beloved dog.  Momma to 34 puppies.

New Scrapbooking adventure and blogging!!!

YEAH!!!  I am getting one of the things that I wanted to do in 2013!  For sometime, I have been so intimidated by the idea of blogging!!  Well not anymore!  A bit about me, I am a nurse that has 3 lovely children, but fell into a funk when they all three got to the age "YEAH, I don't need Mom anymore!!!".... I have boxes and boxes of pictures of them AND, I am going to scrapbook a good number of them...and the life I lead now that I am an empty nester! (LOVING that!!!)

This memory is from July 1991 with my first son Jacob.  We piled in the car to go visit Gramma and Poppa in Sacramento, from Pendleton, Oregon.  Long trip with a baby who thinks he has to nurse every 20 minutes!

My project (and I will have to get a lot better at this--keeping track of what kind of paper and treasures I use!!) The paper is from Rustic Pickle from Fancy Pants (LOVE it) the larger suns are fussy cut, to fit the angles that I wanted.  I used the "love (heart) you" velum from simple stories, and the heart stickers from Fancy Pants.  I used pop dots/squares from Close to My heart and ribbons and brads from my stash.

This is one of my favorite pages that I did a while back. Th paper, sticker, and flag was MME....but the rest of the flowers and bling,I am not for sure.  My dogs, upper left is Jeffery Michael Gordon, to his immediate right, is his mom Rose, and below that Jeff again, the next row is Trapper (Jeffery Michaels) daddy.  Below that is my beloved son, Jordan.
